Frequently Asked Questions 

1. How old do you have to be to play?

a. For Spring 2026 we have teams for birth year 2022 – 2007

 

2. What is the cost?

a. Birth Year             

2022 -  2020              $65

2019 – 2016             $100

2015 – 2012             $120

2010 – 2007             $130

 

3. Do you have to buy a uniform each season?

a. No, as long as you have the current uniform you do not have to purchase one. Many of our players wear their uniform for multiple seasons then pass it to a sibling; as long as you have the uniform from Fall 2021 you do not have to purchase another one. ToTs does not need to purchase one. 

 

4. What other equipment is needed?

a. All players will need a ball, shin guards and cleats. (Most 2022- 2020 players wear sneakers)

 

5. What size ball do I need?

a. 2022 - 2018  Size 3

 2017 - 2014  Size 4

 2013 - Up     Size 5

 

6. Is there a monthly fee?

a. No, the cost of registration includes all game fees.

 

7. Can I pick my child’s team?

a. All players are placed by the age group coordinator.  All requests are looked at but cannot always be granted.

 

8. Can I pick a person for my child to play (buddy) with?

a. You may buddy with one player as long as they buddy with you.  When this happens both players are put into the draft and will be placed together.  (Coaches children may not buddy)

 

9. When does the season start?

a. The Spring season practices will begin early February and last into May. 

 

10. When are practices and games?

a. Practices are left up to each teams’ coach. Games will be played primarily on Saturday mornings and early afternoon.  Some teams may have a few games during the week. In case of rain games may be played on other days.

 

11. Can I return to my team?

a. Yes, current players may return to their team if the option is selected during registration.

12. Are games scheduled during Spring Break?

a. There are games scheduled the Saturday before Muscogee School Spring Break. The Saturday at the end of Spring Break no games scheduled.

(Note: For the older teams that are playing in the GA Soccer RIAS. It is the coaches responsibility to let the CYSC Office know, to blackout those dates at the beginning of the season. CYSC Office sends out an email around the 1st week of February requesting that information. If those dates are not blackout, GA Soccer may schedule games on those dates)
